Horizontal Cabling
| A Horizontal cabling installation consists of the cable from your equipment room to each designated outlet or work area. Unshielded twisted pair cable is media of choice for most horizontal installations. ProComm typically installs Category 6, Category 5 Enhanced, or Category 3 cable depending on our customer's requirements. We use high quality components manufactured from Amp, Hubbell, and Nordx. These components typically consist of cable, patch panels, jacks, faceplates, and patch cords. |

 | Backbone Cabling
| Backbone cabling typically consists of the cabling between equipment closets or rooms. Fiber optic cable is media of choice for most backbone installations. Fiber has an enormous bandwidth and is immune from problems such as electromagnetic interference. We also install 25,50, and 100 pair copper cables to connect your telephone equipment rooms together. We use high quality products manufactured from Alcoa, Amp, and Nordx. We test all fiber with an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflector) upon completion of work. We will provide you with a hard and soft copy of the test results. |
